Antonio Stradivari (violin) Goetz – 1695

This beautiful specimen belongs to Stradivari’s ‘Long Pattern’ period and still bears an original label dated 1695. It is named after one of its past owners, the Dutch connoisseur Ludovic Goetz, nephew of Edward Levy-Lawson (1833–1916), 1st Baron Burnham, an influential British businessman who owned the Daily Telegraph newspaper.
