Antonio Stradivari (violin) Reiffenberg – 1717

This instrument still bears an original label that reads ‘Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1717’, and it is named for one of its past owners, Mr. Hugo Reiffenberg (also spelled Reifenberg) of Paris, France. Mr. H. Reiffenberg happened to be the father-in-law of Emanuel Feuermann (1902–1942), one of the greatest cellists of the 20th century.
