Antonio Stradivari (violin) Tartini – 1720–1725 ca.

This instrument from Stradivari’s mature production period bears an original label whose date has unfortunately been tampered with and is no longer legible. The violin is named after the Italian violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini (1692–1770), although it is not clear if and when he owned it as no documents have so far been found to confirm his ownership.
